The Technology Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia invites you to its winter quarterly luncheon meeting…“This Little Product Went to Market: How to Take an Innovation and Make It a Commercial Success.”
Join the Emory Law Professor Anne Rector, and Georgia Tech Professor Margi Berbari, Program Chairs for the TI:GER program. The luncheon will include a discussion of lessons learned from the innovative TI:GER program, which teaches teams of law, business and engineering graduate students how to commercialize a new product. The professors will talk about:
- the university IP protection process
- the lawyer’s participation in the development of a business plan, and
- the challenges faced by lawyers who seek to help their clients translate an innovation into a commercial success.
Attendees who are interested in becoming involved will have the opportunity to sign up to be mentors to students in the program.
